Casa Vigil Bodega

Casa Vigil Bodega is a restaurant inside a family winery in Chachingo (Cruz de Piedra), Maipú. It is part of Universo Vigil, the group of winemaker Alejandro Vigil and his family. The venue's route is inspired by the Divine Comedy.

The food offering is integrated into the winery and works with produce-driven and terroir-based cuisine, designed to pair with the house wines. Argentina's official tourism guide notes that the restaurant holds one Michelin Star and one Green Star in Mendoza. At the winery, Aleanna produces El Enemigo and Gran Enemigo, and offers visits and tastings.

The space recreates Hell, Purgatory and Paradise. Hell is an underground barrel cellar with works by Osvaldo Chiavazza. The path to Purgatory is marked by the Virgen de la Carrodilla, by Sergio Roggerone. Paradise is a bright space with stained glass. It is suitable for couples, families or friends, and for those who want to add a winery visit.

It is located on Videla Aranda, in Chachingo, Maipú, in the heart of the wine region. It is best reached by car or with a transfer.
