Villa Victoria Lodge

Villa Victoria Lodge is a boutique inn in Coquimbito, Maipú, right on the Wine and Olive Route. It operates in a Victorian-style mansion from 1890, one of those buildings that recall the arrival of immigrants to the vineyard area. It is run by its own owners: in March 2023 the Mattanó-Grisolía family reopened it and gave it a warm, personalized touch.

Rooms and services

It is a small property with about five double rooms. The rooms are on the first floor and are reached by stairs. Stays are charged per room on a double-occupancy basis, with breakfast included and housekeeping service. It also has a pool, wifi and free parking. The house keeps the style of its era: there is a large dining room, a gallery and a spacious park with old trees and vineyards, where you can rest after a day of wineries.

Art in the mansion

Since May 2025 the inn has also been a space for art and culture, with artist residencies, exhibitions and gatherings. It is coordinated by cultural manager Daniel Rueda and hosted by artist Tomás Mattanó, who has his studio in the house. The project blends contemporary art, heritage, wine and tourism, so it is worth checking their Instagram in case there is an exhibition or activity during your stay.

Location and who it's for

It is on Moreno street, in Coquimbito, a quiet area on the outskirts of Maipú, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, with the Andes mountains in the background. It is a good base for touring the wineries and olive oil producers in the area, and it is about 14 km from downtown Mendoza. Given its scale and style, it is especially suited to couples and travelers looking for a quiet place with history, rather than a large hotel.
