Chateau Montchenot

Chateau Montchenot Hotel de Cielo is a boutique hotel in the city of Maipú, Mendoza. It is practically next to Bodegas López, one of the department's traditional wineries, and it is named after one of its best-known wines. It is a small property with just eight rooms, designed for those who come to Mendoza to explore the wine region.

There are several room types: Exclusive, Design and Comfort doubles, and Deluxe studios overlooking the courtyard. All of them have a king bed, private bathroom, wifi and safe, and some have garden or balcony views. A full breakfast is included and is served in the morning. The hotel also has a restaurant, café and bar, room service, and an outdoor pool with garden. It also offers a massage room and a meeting room, and helps book excursions and tickets. Transfers are available for an additional fee.

This is an adults-only hotel: children are not admitted, and cribs or extra beds are not available. It is especially suitable for couples and travelers who want to sleep right in the Maipú wine region and explore the wineries without depending on a car. Staff speak Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Location and how to get there

It is on Ozamis street, in the winery area of the city of Maipú, a few meters from Bodegas López. Very close by are the National Wine Museum, Bodega Giol and several shops that rent bicycles for touring the wineries. El Plumerillo international airport is about 25 km away. Free parking is available on site.
