Multiespacio Cultural Bodega Faraón

Bodega Faraón Cultural Multispace is a cultural and tourist space in the Los Compartos area, Alvear Oeste district, General Alvear. It is a century-old winery, founded in 1905 by the Cremaschi family, which stopped producing wine in 2012 and was bought by the Municipality in 2016 to turn it into a cultural center. In 2019 it was declared a National Historic Monument.

What you can do The main attraction is the guided tours, which tell the story of Víctor Cremaschi and his continuous winemaking system. On the grounds there is a mural by Carlos Alonso, a sphinx of Ramses II by Mariano Pagés, the old fermentation vats and an art space with works that won the Atuel Art Biennials. There is also a museum dedicated to the history of the Cremaschi family and a multipurpose hall where concerts, plays and exhibitions are held.

The Tourism Office, the Casa del Artesano and the Punto Digital de Alvear all operate on the same grounds, so it is a good starting point for exploring the department.

How to get there and practical information The winery is on National Route 188, a few minutes from the city of General Alvear and near the fairgrounds of the livestock fair. Enter via Calle 10, about 4,000 meters from kilometer 0.

According to a Sitio Andino article, it is open Monday to Friday from 8 to 19, and on weekends and holidays from 10 to 19; it is best to confirm by phone before going. A tourism directory indicates it has restrooms, entrance and parking accessible for wheelchairs, and that it is suitable for children.
