Posada Mawida

Posada Mawida is a boutique inn in Lunlunta, Maipú, located on a 10-hectare estate where winemaking and hospitality come together. It is a small property surrounded by vineyards with the Andes mountains in the background, designed for relaxing away from the noise of the city without being far from it.

Rooms and services

The inn has only a few units: one standard double room, three double superior rooms, one triple superior room and three lofts set in the vineyard, with a private deck and mountain views. All of them have a private bathroom, wifi and TV. On the property there is a swimming pool (open from October to March, with lounge chairs and sun loungers), a garden, a quincho (outdoor grill area), a wine cellar, a breakfast room and a playroom with games, plus laundry service and 24-hour reception.

Breakfast is included in all rates and is very complete: coffee, tea, medialunas (croissant-style pastries), scrambled eggs, yogurt, fruit, cereal, nuts, cold cuts and toast. The inn also has its own restaurant, open at lunch and dinner, with homemade dishes such as beef in Malbec, meat and vegetarian empanadas, breaded cutlets with mashed potatoes, chicken with mushroom sauce, and ricotta or pumpkin and walnut cannelloni. For dessert there is brownie with ice cream or red berry cheesecake, and empanadas and picadas (cold platters) can be ordered throughout the day.

Who it suits and what's nearby

It suits couples looking for a getaway among the vineyards and families, who can make use of the playroom and the pool. It is right in the Primera Zona wine region: Bodega Bombal is one kilometer away, Casa Vigil about 11, and horseback rides are a few minutes away. You also have nearby the La Vacherie golf course and Chacras de Coria, about 10 minutes away.

How to get there and practical information

The inn is on Maza Sur street in Lunlunta, about 20 kilometers from downtown Mendoza (about 25 minutes by car) and about 28 from the airport. The Uco Valley is about 50 minutes away and Potrerillos dam about 40, so it works as a base for exploring the province, and it has free private parking.
