Mayorga Pizza

Mayorga Pizza is a family pizzeria in the Cuarta Sección of the City of Mendoza, on San Martín Avenue. It has been in the neighborhood for more than 20 years and is one of those pizzerias that have been around forever, with a wide menu of classic pizzas and takeaway food. On its social media it presents itself with the motto "Pedí tu pizza de corazón" ("Order your pizza with all your heart").

The highlight is the pizzas, with a long list of flavors: mozzarella with plenty of cheese, special with ham and roasted peppers, fugazza, napolitana, margherita, four cheeses, roquefort, anchovies, arugula with prosciutto, serrana, hearts of palm, humita (sweet corn), spinach, mushrooms, chicken, Mediterranean with tuna, tropical with pineapple, and one with peceto (beef cut) and mustard sauce. There are also baked empanadas by the half dozen (ham and cheese, onion, cheese, caprese, spinach, humita and four cheeses), napolitano and four-cheese calzones, complete lomo sandwiches, lomo pizza sandwich, hamburgers, french fries, and combos for sharing, such as the one with two square pizzas or the lomo with fries.

It's a neighborhood pizzeria that, according to online directories, works mainly with takeaway and delivery. It works well for sorting out dinner at home with family or friends: there are several vegetarian options, such as mozzarella, fugazza, margherita, humita, spinach or mushroom. It took part in the Noche de la Pizza y la Empanada (Pizza and Empanada Night) organized by the trade association, and the Municipality of Mendoza highlighted it as a family business that trains and employs people from the City.
