City Hotel Mendoza

Nuevo Hotel City is a 2-star family hotel in the City of Mendoza, on General Paz street, a few blocks from the microcentro. It is an affordable accommodation option, and its most appreciated feature is the location: from here you can walk to much of the downtown area.

Rooms and services

The hotel has around 24 rooms, designed for 1 to 8 people, so family rooms are also available. The rooms have TV with several channels, climate control, a desk, bed linen and bathroom amenities. Common areas include a shared lounge with TV, a bar, free wifi throughout the building, a safe deposit box and luggage storage. The front desk is staffed 24 hours, and an American-style breakfast is served in the morning. For guests arriving by car, there is private parking.

Location and who it suits

It is less than one kilometer from the Alameda promenade, about 700 meters from Plaza Independencia and near the Museo del Pasado Cuyano. That makes it a good fit for travelers on a tight budget who want to explore downtown on foot: couples, families or groups that need a large room, and visitors coming to the city for work or for events such as the Vendimia. If you travel with a lot of luggage or have reduced mobility, keep in mind that some reviews mention you have to walk a little inside the hotel.

Practical information

Check-in is from 13:00 and check-out is mid-morning (between 10:00 and 10:30, depending on the platform). Smoking is prohibited throughout the building. You can book by phone, through its Facebook page, or through the hotel booking platforms where it is listed.
