Andes Mendocinos - High Mountain Tour

Mendoza is its mountains and its wines. On this magnificent tour you'll see the most outstanding landscapes of the Andes Cordillera. We begin this journey along International Route No. 7, with the impressive view of Dique Potrerillos, which surprises us after driving through the Cacheuta Tunnel. Our next stop will be Uspallata. From the southernmost point of the Inca Empire, we head to the villages of Picheuta, Polvaredas, Punta de Vacas and the former Los Penitentes ski resort. Further on, along our route, we'll reach the Puente del Inca, a rock formation that forms a natural bridge surrounded by thermal mineral springs, over the Las Cuevas River. A few kilometers from there, at 2,750 masl, is the lookout for the giant of the Americas, Cerro Aconcagua, which at 6,962 masl welcomes visitors from all over the world hoping to reach its summit. Finally we'll arrive at the village of Las Cuevas, at 3,200 masl, for our lunch stop and a walk through one of the Authentic Villages of our country. Between Las Cuevas and the international tunnel to Chile, there is a road that climbs to the Cristo Redentor Monument (available only in summer). This icon, at 4,200 masl, symbolizes the union between Argentines and Chileans, and from there you can enjoy spectacular views of the whole Andes. Bring your camera!
