You get there via Route 82 toward Cacheuta. The route is low difficulty. The trail starts in front of the Álvarez Condarco hydroelectric plant, passes under a concrete aqueduct and follows the bed of a dry stream toward the ravine. It is a humid ravine, with water seeping from the sand and watercress growing along the water channels. It goes from about 1,200 to about 2,100 m a.s.l. About two hours into the walk there is a spring of drinkable water. Further on there is a valley with three paths: one leads to a viewpoint over the Potrerillos Dam, another to a waterfall. The full route takes about 3 hours. It is best to leave early and bring water and trekking shoes.
