## About Finca La Malka

Finca La Malka is a family wine estate in Las Compuertas, Luján de Cuyo. It covers 11.5 hectares that the Ostropolsky family bought in 2011 uncultivated and planted almost entirely, mainly with Malbec and some Cabernet Franc. For years it was only a premium grape project supplying other wineries in the area, and since 2023 it has been open to visitors. Today it is run by Cecilia Ostropolsky and her mother, Graciela Roiz.

## A visit to get close to the vineyard

The idea is to show how life and work unfold on a Mendoza estate. The route is self-guided, with signs in Spanish, English and Portuguese explaining each stage of the work in the vineyard: pruning, irrigation, grape varieties, the tasks of the year, and the grape intake and dispatch. At the end comes the food part, which has three options. One is a tasting of three wines with a cheese board to share. Another is a Mendoza-style menu with hand-cut beef empanadas, asado with vegetables and cheese, and dulce de leche for dessert, cooked on the estate's grill. The third is a picnic with a basket, blanket, picada, beef sandwich and dulce de leche to eat among the rows. The estate can also be rented for private events, and in season they organize special activities, such as harvesting grapes with the winemaker and the agronomist.

## Their wines

The wines are made with grapes from the estate itself and production is small. The young line is Delagreis Malbec. There are also two blends from Finca La Malka aged 18 months in barrel: one with more Malbec and another with more Cabernet Franc. The wines are also sold online on their website.

## Practical information

The estate is on Pasaje De la Reta, in the Las Compuertas area, surrounded by vineyards with a view of the mountain range. It is open Thursday to Sunday and receives few groups per day, so it is best to book in advance. Reservations can be made by phone, through their social media, or through travel agencies and wine tourism platforms.
