## About Bodega Dolium

Dolium is a family-run boutique winery in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, known for being the first fully underground winery in Argentina. It was founded in 1997 as a project of the Giadorou family. The building was designed by architects Eliana Bórmida and Mario Yanzón to take advantage of the stable temperature underground. Since 2014 it has been certified as a B Corp, and it was the first winery in Latin America to achieve this.

## Visits and tastings

The experience for visitors is intimate and personalized: tours are usually led by the owners or the winemakers of the house. There is the express visit, to see the winery from above and taste a glass of wine. There are also tastings of four wines that compare varietals, winemaking methods, terroirs and vintages. The historic experience focuses on vintages from the collection aged more than ten years. It also has a wine bar and sells its wines and sparkling wines at the winery itself.

## Its wines

It makes small batches, from mid-range wines to icon labels, and also makes wine for third parties. Malbec is the star, with the Gran Reserva Single Vineyard line and a line of organic wines. It also produces Bonarda Petit Reserva and a sweet red from late harvest. The estate covers about 17 hectares in Agrelo, one of the best-known vineyard areas in Luján de Cuyo.

## How to get there and practical information

It is located on Provincial Route 15, at kilometer 30, between the Chandon and Budeguer wineries, in the heart of the Camino del Vino de Luján. From the city of Mendoza it takes just over half an hour by car. It welcomes visitors Monday to Friday. Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays it receives guests by prior reservation only, so it is best to arrange your visit in advance by phone or WhatsApp. Visits are available in Spanish, English, French, Italian and Portuguese, and the venue is accessible for people with reduced mobility.
