## About Belasco de Baquedano

Belasco de Baquedano is a winery in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, founded by a family from the former Kingdom of Navarre, in northern Spain. After more than three decades making wine in different Spanish regions, they settled in Mendoza in 2003 to produce high-end wines. Its signature is Malbec from old vineyards: they work with vines around one hundred years old in Alto Agrelo.

## Visits, tastings and scent room

The winery offers guided tours with tasting every day. The tour shows the winemaking process and includes an exhibit about cork and its importance in aging wine. The place is best known for its Scent Room, which the winery presents as the largest in the Americas: dozens of stations with fruits, flowers, nuts, woods and spices, where you have to guess each smell before reading the label. It is a great way to train your nose and understand better what is in the glass, and it is fun even if you know nothing about wine. There is also a premium tasting option.

## Restaurant with views of the Andes

Besides the tours, there is a restaurant with step menus paired with its wines (three, four or five courses), in a dining room and a terrace overlooking the vineyards and the Andes. It is a good plan for a date or with friends, and it also hosts large groups. Many people combine the visit with lunch on the same day.

## How to get there and practical information

The winery is on Cobos street, in the heart of the Agrelo wine area, surrounded by vineyards and other wineries in the First Zone of Luján de Cuyo. To visit or have lunch, it is best to book in advance via WhatsApp or email with the tourism team, who can also help you choose which visit to take if you plan to stay for a meal.
